We are continuing to monitor COVID – 19 and the latest developments. Governor Mike DeWine of Ohio and Michigan’s Governor Whitmer have issued a Stay at Home Order and an Executive Order to Suspend Activities.

We have reviewed Michigan’s “Executive Order” and Ohio’s Department of Health “Stay at Home Order” and as of today, Haviland Enterprises, Inc. and Baleco Business and Operations are considered essential.

  • These guidelines define Essential Business and Operations by the Orders.
  • Manufactures of cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting or sterilization supplies.
  • Workers necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for chemical manufacturing.
  • Workers supporting the chemical supply chains, including workers at chemical manufacturing plants.
  • Manufacturing companies producing and supplying essential products and services in and for industries such as chemicals and sanitization.
  • All workers identified in the US Department of Homeland Security.
  • Critical Manufacturing
  • Chemical supply chains and safety.

Accordingly, Haviland Enterprises, Inc. including Baleco, will remain open and continue to manufacture and distribute essential products and will comply with the Social Distancing Requirements, as defined by the orders and to implement procedures to maintain operations.

In these historically challenging times, it is important we pull together and continue to ensure the supply chain with essential products. Thank you for your continued support.

Products and Resources

Haviland is working with our suppliers, customers and neighbors to offer the chemistry, packaging and distribution services needed at this critical time. We are reviewing numerous opportunities to provide these products and services to serve the greater good. The  250+ employee ESOP owners of Haviland continue to work in communities where possible to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

In recent days, demand for disinfectant products has increased dramatically. Haviland will continue to manufacture and package these products and leverage our suppliers to maintain the supply chain of these products.

Haviland has both raw materials and finished chemistries for disinfecting and sanitizing. Note: EPA-registered products should only be used for their intended purposes per the registered instructions.

  • Bleach
  • IPA
  • EPA Registered Disinfectants
  • Pool and Spa Disinfectants
    • For sanitizing of pool and spa water

As we know, hand-washing is a clear deterrent to the spread of infectious disease. Proper cleaning, even without the power of disinfection helps prevent the spread of germs. Haviland products available for institutional cleaning.

Haviland as supplier

Haviland’s industrial and pool & spa divisions are set up to manufacture and distribute chemistry on a relatively large scale. We are efficient distributors of chemistries in truck-load and bulk quantities, and as such, not all of our products and capabilities are not geared towards individual consumer sales.

CLICK HERE to find EPA List N: Disinfectants for Use Against SARS-CoV-2.

List N includes products that meet EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19.

When purchasing a product, check if its EPA registration number is included on this list. If it is, you have a match and the product can be used against SARS-CoV-2. You can find this number on the product label – just look for the EPA Reg. No. These products may be marketed and sold under different brand names, but if they have the same EPA registration number, they are the same product.
